Meet Our Legal Team

Our firm is led by founding partners Taylor Larsen and Mitch Mender. Former prosecutors and public defenders now fight for clients both in and out of the courtroom.

Mitch Mender

Founding Partner

Mitch received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and then graduated from Vermont Law School in their accelerated juris doctorate program. He started his career as a prosecutor with the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Clovis, NM and was awarded prosecutor of the year in 2018 and 2019.

With over a thousand cases prosecuted and an over ninety percent success rate at trial, Mitch later chose to become a public defender where he used his experience to represent his clients and protect their rights. Ultimately, this path led him to open the Law Offices of Larsen and Mender.

Mitch serves on the New Mexico Board of Bar Commissioners and the Board of Directors for the Hartley House – the local domestic violence shelter. He and his wife Robyn enjoy traveling and spending time with their three children.

Taylor Larsen

Founding Partner

When it comes to addressing clients’ legal concerns, Taylor Larsen believes in taking a holistic approach – the ideal solution should look at the whole person, not just the legal issue at hand.

To that end, Taylor believes in prioritizing the person over the problem. Taylor graduated from the University of Utah in 2017 where he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

He then graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU where he served on the boards of both the Trial Advocacy Team and the Journal of Public Law. Taylor began his career at the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office where he handled a wide variety of criminal cases from DUI’s to drug trafficking.

Taylor enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and playing pickleball.
